My disgust with the so called conservative talk radio grows every day.

I was listening to Savage last night and I couldn’t believe what came out of this man’s mouth. Expressing disgust toward the soldiers gathered to see Obama during his visit at the airport outside of Baghdad, Savage proceeded to call them, I may be paraphrasing as I was too angry to pay much attention, mindless dunces with camera, or something similar. He further expressed his dismay that none of them protested. Mike Savage, née Michel Weiner, shows not just a deep lack of understanding of military protocol and consequences but a typical arrogant disdain for our men and women in uniform.

Evidently it hasn’t occurred to Savage that perhaps the reason the soldiers in question didn’t protest Obama is because they were picked to be there precisely because they were Obama supporters? Does that make them any less patriotic? Does that lessen their service? Remind us Mike with awhich outfit did you serve? Here is the reality Savage, when you say things like that you reduce yourself in stature so much so that you ain’t worth a pimple on any of those soldiers’ butt!

Savage isn’t alone. I remember a few months back, maybe even more then a year or so agao, when the Healthy Radio Addict, the ever brave Laura Ingraham belittled a Marine mortar crew. The crew in question was forward deployed living literally in some god forsaken hole in Iraq eaten by sand fleas and shot at by terrorists but that wasn’t enough for Ms. Ingraham. Because the Marines had expressed their disagreement with the war the wrath of Laura descended upon them. Her barrage included demeaning the enlisted Marines and telling us how officers and senior officers whom she knows did this and thought that and blah blah blah. Sure Laura why would anyone call you an elitist, that’s reserved only for liberals. Laura my dear you haven’t accomplished in a life time what that mortar crew probably did in a month.

That a soldier or Marine fights in a war they don’t agree with or under a president with which they disagree is more of a reason to applaud them. It makes their service that much more noble.

WHEN I HEAR OF A PERSON SITTING IN FRONT OF A MICROPHONE A WORLD AWAY INSULTING AND BELITTLING TROOPS SERVING IN A COMBAT ZONE WHILE HE/SHE  IS SIPPING  J&B AND FLAPPING THEIR GUMS I WANT’ TO KICK’EM IN THE ASS SO HARD THEIR GRAND KIDS WILL TASTE SHOE LEATHER!
