Should Ted Cruz get all high and mighty and judgmental about “New York Values” but ignore the liberal cancer that is festering in big cities throughout the country? Furthermore should he get high on his horse and alienate entire states to attempt to score a few cheap points against Donald Trump or should he try to be a “UNITER” like Ronald Reagan?

Not long ago we saw the most dangerous and despicable attack on both freedom of speech in general and Christianity in particular come right out Mr. Ted Cruz’s front yard Huston Texas. The lesbian mayor of Huston TX. tried to actualize the Obama agenda by issuing “subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor”  It’s worth noting that such an outrageous attack on free speech and religion has never been attempted in New York. Are we now to claim that the actions of this mayor and those who voted for her are, to paraphrase Ted Cruz, “Texas Values?”

That would be silly wouldn’t it?

Ted Cruz has shown this ability to snake his way to a particular point in time and place and then show his true colors, he’s done it with lobbying for TPP and he’s done it by stabbing New Yorkers in the back just now. Fact is that it is ridiculous to call Mr. Cruz’s endless flip flopping and lying a result of “Texas Values” just as it is ridiculous to believe that his behavior is somehow a reflection Texas.

Texas is a great state, republic if you will, and so is New York and there are plenty of liberals in both. As conservatives our duty is to spread the message and convince the world of the righteousness, merits and benefits of out conservative values, not to dismiss entire states off hand.
Ronald Reagan won New York and I think the Donald Trump has a good shot of winning the state as well. I think Ted Cruz might have a bit of a hard time winning the Empire State.
