The Dallas Morning News, and others, are reporting that the Dallas county Health Department’s Clinic will prioritize among the people who will be given the Mexican Swine Flu Vaccine. Those who will move at the head of the list will be the health care workers. That of course makes sense as they will have a high probability of being exposed.  Next in line however will be mostly minorities.

Here is where it gets funky, right after the health care workers, priority will be given to those without health insurance ,  ” the clinic is intended to offer the swine flu vaccine to people who are at the highest risk for severe illness and who have no medical insurance” (source)

Yes you’ve read it correct, those without health insurance will be given priority. A pregnant woman with health insurance will have to wait in line while an uninsured person  gets their flu vaccine. A child whose parents have health insurance will have to stand in line behind someone who doesn’t have health insurance

I don’t want to hear that you don’t want the vaccine and that it doesn’t work anyway. That’s not the damn point! Understand that that is precisely why they are starting with this becasue many of you don’t care anyway. But once liberals have implemented  a policy based on race, as this one is, and the  policy has been accepted, that’s that. They move forward form there.  Have you ever known libs to go back ? Of course not this is only the beginning. As I’ve warned you at the first tea parties, if you don’t stand up now by the time they’re done you’ll beg them to take only your money!

OK, so who are the uninsured in Dallas Texas?

Well overwhelmingly they are minorities and more specifically Hispanics. In Dallas they are probably also  illegal aliens… So  a US Citizen, that pregnant woman or that child, will get their flu vaccine once the uninsured illegal aliens get theirs. Aren’t you proud of your country?

Non-Hispanics who reported white as their only race saw their uninsured rate increase from 10.7 percent to 11.1 percent.
The uninsured rate for Hispanics, who may be of any race, was 32.7 percent in 2003 — unchanged from 2002.
Based on a three-year average (2001-2003), 27.5 percent of people who reported American Indian and Alaska native as their only race were without coverage, lower than the uninsured rate for Hispanics (32.8 percent) but higher than that of the other race groups. Comparisons of two-year moving averages (2001-2002 and 2002-2003) showed that the uninsured rate for American Indians and Alaska natives did not change. source

A recent study form a the Pew Hispanic Center posted on Capitol Wire PR stated that: “Six-in-ten Hispanic adults in the U.S. who are neither citizens nor legal permanent residents* lack health insurance. In contrast, 28% of Hispanic adults who are citizens or legal permanent residents and 17% of the overall U.S. adult population lack health insurance. ” source

Now lets look at demographics of Dallas county

As of 2006 over 25% of the population of Dallas was foreign born. As of the 2005-2007 American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau Blacks made up 33.3% of Dallas’ population;

Hispanics and Latinos made up 42.4% of Dallas’ population. Non-Hispanic whites now represent less than one-third of the city’s population. source

From this data we can extrapolate that about 14.1 percent of the the population of Dallas county are uninsured Hispanics and 6.6 percent are uninsured blacks for a total of 20.7 percent. 20.7  percent of the entire population of Dallas county.

Whites on the other hand make up only about 3.4% of the uninsured population of Dallas county.  Understand that these figures are probably very much skewed because the Hispanic population of Dallas county is probably a lot bigger but lets go with this for now.

Even according to these figures minorities in Dallas county are more than six times more likely to get a flu vaccine than whites. But that’s OK because they are also uninsured and probably illegal!

This past summer the great state of New York , via State Health Commissioner Richard Daines,  issued an order that all health care workers who come in contact with patients receive  the Swine Flu vaccine.
The order resulted in protests,  two lawsuits- that I know of- and a judge eventually ordered it halted.

As a sidebar lets note that NY State has no qualms about adhering to federal so called “privacy” laws when the issues is the murder of babies, after all how can anyone tell a woman what to do with her body for a few months? On the other hand NY seems to completely forget about such laws when the issue is injecting potentially deadly poisons into its citizens.

Now the Great State of New York has rescinded its mandate. No, not because the liberals who run NY- into the ground- suddenly saw the light of their unconstitutional mandate but because a bigger government bureaucracy made an even bigger screw up.   The reason that the mandate is rescinded is becasue the Obama federal government has managed the flu vaccine program so badly that  there won’t be enough vaccines and the ones that will be available won’t be available om time.

Can anyone script a mess like this?

First, New York state showing complete disregard for federal laws or the constitution,  issues an order that citizens receive a vaccine that was ,at the time,  untested and about which no one had a clue  as to its safety or efficacy.

Second, the Obama administration which has handled Mexican Swine Flu in a manner that can only be called negligent at best and criminal under normal circumstances throw’s a wrench in NY’s plans by simply not having enough vaccines to go around.

Did I miss Governor Paterson’s condemnation of the shortage of vaccines?  Of course not.  Suddenly,after spending taxpayers money on defending who knows how many law suits, the idiot liberals in Albany find out that all of it was just a colossal waste of time.

Back to the feds, how can the administration that wants to manage your entire health care program justify not having enough vaccines to stave off a pandemic when they had almost a year to prepare for this?

This administration refused to close off the borders or take any meaningful steps  to screen those who enter the country and they assured us that there would be vaccines and plenty of them and that they’d be safe. I really can’t figure out which administration id the bigger bifoon, Obama or new York’s Paterson?

One idiotic liberal administration got trumped by a bigger idiotic liberal administration. Oh yeah I can’t wait to for these nit-wits to run health care !

The rest of us will be sucked in the gargantuan Obama bureaucracy  like plankton being sucked into a whale- note that there is no guarantee that after three days we’ll emerge alive like Jonas, on the contrary.  If you have ever had to swim upstream against a sea of bureaucratic red tape spewed copiously and joyously by the often imbecilic minions of said bureaucracy you might think that you  have an idea of  what’s in store for you or your children.

My friends allow me to assure you that most of you have no clue!

The gargantuan monster that Obama wants to unleash upon our country will destroy and devour everything that once made America great! Not just health care, but the acidic stench of corruption and compromise that this will bring with it will permeate and corrode the fabric of all that makes a free society free.

Had you done all that, you’d be home that day with your tooth fixed contemplating how happy you are to not be one of the schleps that were walking around toothless or holding a bag of ice to their jaws.

You see, the monopoly that the “public option” must logically become will, like all monopolies lead to criminal black market activity and corruption- just as we all learned in our Macroeconomics classes.  I , and my fellow immigrants from other socialist paradises, have seen it and experienced it on our own skin. In the little corner of socialist hell from whence my parents immigrated with me in tow, the “public option” operated at full throttle.  For the average citizen that meant two things, either get sick and sicker and then really sick , or bribe someone to get your medical care done.

Lets say it was the mid to late  seventies, you lived in one of these socialist countries and had a tooth ache.  If you weren’t a communist party big shot or had any relatives working for the secret police your choice would be to put your name on a list to  make an appointment to see a dentist. The paperwork would be forwarded and you would be given a date at which to present yourself at the dentist’s office . The date would be one or two weeks away- if you were lucky! So the time passed and you showed up at the dentist and thought that you’d get your tooth fixed. Well, you might be able to get your tooth pulled but treated, well,  that’s a different story. The shortage of filling materiel  or the shortage of anesthesia shots would put you again right back on the list and send you home to wait until these things became available. Hold your breath

You have just followed the “public option” bureaucratic procedure to get your cavity fixed and it has either left you toothless or you’re at home with your face wrapped in a ice waiting for the call that would never come.

You went about it the wrong way from day one. The proper way to navigate the nightmare would be as follows. Present yourself at the dentist office  tell the receptionist your name and slip her a pack or two of Kent cigarettes ( American cigarettes were the preferred currency and for whatever reason Kent cigarettes were the preferred brand) . One pack would get you an appointment in a few days, two packs ,the next day, three or more and you’d be seen by the dentist that same day and  if you showed up with a carton you were probably next in line or close to it. But you had better brought along a bag because you’d have to hand a pack of Kent to the dental assistant and at least a carton to Comrade Mr/Mrs  Dentist. Had you done all that, you’d be home that day with your tooth fixed contemplating how happy you are to not be one of the schleps that were walking around toothless or holding a bag of ice to their jaws.

You might wonder why cigarettes and other consumer items were the prefered currency. Well there are two reasons, first the local currency was devalued to the point that it was worthless just the way our Dollar is going. Second because if you were caught with foreign currency or gold  you’d be facing hard jail time. Look for Obama to implement a similar policy here very soon.

Simple right? Sure except that  Kent cigarettes were either smuggled into the country or bought from “foreign currency only shops” accessible only to foreigners. So yeah they were very very expensive,  certainly more expensive than an average, toothless, worker could afford.  God forbid you’d need a more involved procedure.  An appointment with a surgeon would set you back at least a bottle of Johny Walker Scotch Whiskey and you had better keep that coming all the way to the operating table. A really serious medical  matter would require a Philips or Telefunken or RCA boom box. If you think that Kent cigarettes were hard to come by, imagine how hard it would be to get your hands on a boom box.

Regardless of the intentions of the eastern European and Russian and whatever other communists  had when trying to establish the “national health care” systems reality was that there were still two types of health care. One for those who could pay  – cigarettes and whiskey and boom boxes etc- and got their health care and those who couldn’t and did not.

But you know what? They too paid, everyone paid, but only those who could pay again or were connected got their health care. That’s it ! That’s how it was in the socialist paradises in the former communists countries and that’s how it is now in the Socialist western European countries. Those with money get health care either at home or abroad and those who don’t wait for months on end to get their cancer diagnosed

That is how things are everywhere this was tried so ask yourself why is Obama and Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel and the rest of the Obamunists  pushing bto implement this here?

Carefully observing Obama ‘s own argument on his health care plan you quickly realize that there emerges a pattern which indicates that he himself doesn’t believe a word of it.

He begins his pitch by telling us how much the cost of insurance premiums have increased and are still doing so. He then goes on to extol the cost saving virtues of letting the government run things. Of course by now you are rolling your eyes at the mere thought  of the Government implementing savings on anything – I wish Obama would give us one single example of that – but let’s get past that for now and let’s focus on the underlying lie.

The statement made by  Obama, that he will prevent similar future inflationary pressure trough cost cutting can only lead to two conclusions.

The first one is that Obama is lying. The cost cutting is at best a  onetime event and it may bring down costs in the first or second year but it will do nothing to curtail inflationary pressure from other sources. To illustrate this lets useObama’s own words. He loves to point out that insurance premiums climbed over 130 % in the past decade. He then also goes on to point out that insurance companies add 14% to medical bills.  As Obama doesn’t seem fit to clarify we have to assume that this a fixed cost and that without it the insurance premiums would be up only 116% for the past decade.

Hence the lie! Obama claims that he will somehow make health-care inflation disappear but under the absolute best case scenario, as per his own words, we will have only a 14% reduction!

The second possibility, and unfortunately the most probable one, is that Obama will pinpoint the specific areas in health care costs that experience the highest inflation and eliminate them.  The highest inflationary pressure to health care costs come from the care of the elderly and those afflicted with catastrophic diseases.

So when you listen to the Obama pitch understand that he is doing one of two things. He is either lying about lowering the costs and this is nothing but the most brazen  power grab and attempt at subjugating the American people ever attempted,  or he is lying about how he will lower costs  and the elderly and the chronically ill will be treated as they are in other socialist countries throughout the world.   Grandma is in deep trouble!

Ha ha.  In fact, citizens in some countries that spend less than we do are actually living longer than we do in Chicago’s south side, Detroit, New Orleans, Newark , Baltimore… Heck, I’m glad I don’t live there anymore …

Make no mistake: market driven  health care is a threat to our administration. It is a ticking time-bomb for our plan to take control of the most crucial industry  in the United States of America.

Tell the Republican party poopers to allow the elderly to get lit up once in a while ( shout over crowd cheers). Hey, Republicans, the elderly want to get baked once in a while, too! Let grandma get lit up!

Our costly health care system is unsustainable for doctors like Michael Kahn in New Hampshire, who, as he puts it, spends 20 percent of each day supervising a staff explaining insurance problems to patients, completing authorization forms, and writing appeal letters; a routine that he calls disruptive and distracting, giving him less time to do what he became a doctor to do and actually care for his patients.

Under our system we will have trained government cadre working to supervise doctors, to approve procedures, cut costs and help fill out proper paperwork.

We’ll help big business to get smaller ..ahh damn it, I mean to get insurance.

Small business owners like Chris and Becky Link in Nashville are also struggling. They’ve always wanted to do right by the workers at their family-run marketing firm, but have recently had to lay off a number of employees – layoffs that could have been deferred, if health care costs weren’t so high. Under our system, small business owners across the country will  have access to our health care system providing that they take certain small steps to insure our success. A few such steps are the hiring of minorities, unionizing their businesses, and donating a proper amount to approved community organizing associations.

Our largest companies will be suffering as well, ahh I mean are suffering  ha ha , the prompter is fast again, scroll ahead…there!.  A big part of what led General Motors and Chrysler into trouble in recent decades were the huge costs they racked up providing health care for their workers; costs that made them less profitable, and less competitive with automakers around the world.We’ve put an end to all that for good.  We will do for corporate America what we’ve done for GM and Chrysler!

To say it as plainly as I can, health care reform is the single most important thing we can do to destroy America’s long-term fiscal health!

Now its absolutely important to understand that even the 120 million doses that were initially ordered are a complete farce!   To put that number in perspective, France a country with about five times less population than the US ordered 30% more vaccines than it has people. To match them the Obvama administration would have had to order upwards of 420 million vaccines. They ordered 120 million and will get only 40 million at best. Is this not neglect of duty? Isn’t  the government’s first priority and duty  to protect its people?

This vital announcement that a ridiculously low number of vaccines received will be available received the same national press coverage usually reserved for local newspaper stories about lost and found pets. Did anyone  expect  anything else from  the Obama state organs formerly known as the MSM ?

The reason given for the 60% reduction in the number of doses available is “delays in manufacturing and packaging“

What? Packaging? PACKAGING!!! How many of the 80 million or so vaccine shortfall  will not be available due to packaging? How many of the 90,000 fatalities that the White House predicts will fall victim to the Swine Flu will do so because of “PACKAGING!”  Is this some sort of demented sick joke or is is this the Obama administration desperately  seeking a made to order Rahm Emanuel crisis?

This White House gives almost half a trillion dollars of our money to organizations run by left wing hoodlums and they can’t spare a penny to ensure that the “packaging” of flu shots is not an issue?

If that’s not bad enough the mid September dateline for availability of the vaccine is up in smoke. Dr. Thomas Frierden Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Administrator of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry stated that the vaccines won’t be available until early October. My guess is that you shouldn’t hold your breath.

On the other hand its worth noting that Britain and France already received their first batches of vaccines this past week and Australia on Friday! I am not sure how many doses made it to Marta’s Vineyard but rest assure that the important people and their families will get the vaccines. After all who the heck are you?
