swine fluThis past Friday, while the world was riveted to the developments in Iran the CDC released a small little item, the Mexican Swine Flu Death Toll in New York City increased by 30% in one day . Let me repeat that, the Mexican Swine Flu Death Toll in New York City increased by 30%. in one day
Seven more people succumbed to the ravages of the Mexican Swine Flu on Friday. That the death toll can jump this much in one day is beyond alarming its down right scary but it didn’t stop there! Today we have reports that three more people passed away.
From June 12th to June 22nd the death toll in NYC almost doubled form 16 to 30. Want to take a guess how much the death toll will be if it continues to just about double just about twice a month for say six months? How about around 30,000 victims! How about almost half a million in eight months and over ten million in a year. How about if the same thing happens in five or six or ten states? Can that happen? Who knows, the virus can mutate into something less deadly or we can develop a vaccine. On the other hand the spreading can also accelerate and the virus can also become more deadly,
I really hope that none of that will happen but I have a question. If all the measures that have been taken so far have given us a fatality rate that has reached this type of progression why would any sane person believe that this would stop if we continue to do the same things that we’ve been doing?
The next question is of course why is Obama hell bent on staying on this course?
