How to Solve Health Care and Illegal Immigration

One of the most contentious subjects that pops up when the subject of health care comes around is the expenses incurred for the treatment of illegal aliens. I have an idea that will kill the proverbial two birds with one stone.

We all know that many California hospitals went bankrupt becasue of the huge expenses incurred during the treatment of illegal aliens at emergency rooms.
No  we can’t turn them away from the emergency rooms and let them die in the streets and we don’t have to. There are other, much better  options.

What we can do is what we’ve boon doing, provide them treatment but unlike the current  idiotic situation we’ll  make them pay their bills.

If they have no money and the vast majority don’t,  we  present the bill to their native country. I know that we should hold our breath until they pay , but it won’t be like that.

First we charge the bill to whatever foreign aid we give that nation.- yes  we also add a premium to the cost becasue they are after all not Americans. If that’s not enough to cover the cost we put a lien against assets that they have in this country. If that still doesn’t cover it  we charge a tariff on goods from that country.

How long do you think it will be until that particular nation’s ruling junta will clamp down on people trying to sneak into the US? How long do you think it will be until we no longer have an illegal immigration problem?

Seal the damn border; deny them Federal Housing assistance HUD. Yes do you know that last year a Republican Congressman proposed a bill, restricting federal housing assistance to American Citizens and the bill was defeated by a Democrat majority? I was shocked! We have had this program (Monthly rent paid for by citizen tax payers, here in New York City it’s called Section 8) since the 1960’s and never did our idiot congress think of requiring recipients to provide proof of citizenship! UNBELIEVABLE! To hear Liberal Open Boarder idiots feel sorry for illegal aliens, who are under paid, is despicable. Imagine how much less you would need in net salary if: you didn’t pay taxes, received food stamps, your kids got free meals at school for break- fast and lunch, you didn’t have to pay for health insurance because Medicaid paid 100% for your prescriptions and healthcare as long as you call an ambulance or walk into the Emergency Room and the tax dollars of everyone else pays you rent and electricity bills. Talk about a broken system created by Elitist Liberal idiots!

just a question, who decided illegal immigration and abortion are the two major problems in America? They certainly are not for me. I’m more interested in my tax money being sent overseas in the form of giving tax breaks to companies that move their business for slave labor prices and places where they have no child work laws.

Here is the big surprise. It is mostly conservative business owners that have illegals here because they are interested in one thing only…profit. Human lives, dignity, morality, they leave it for the fringe element of the republican party who likes to dress up and scream on tv, but is still just as broke as they were 2 years ago…

Great 2 Bird Solution. When we charge Mexico for their citizen’s health care,
if they don’t wish to pay…they can give us the equivalent in OIL…WHICH THEY HAVE A TON OF!
Yesiree, there ain’t no free lunch or medical services. It’s got to stop.
Our wonderful USA boat is sinking and we can’t pull any more illegals on board.

What do you guys think of the following: Anti-immigrant laws pulled the trigger on the gun of our current economic gloom. Did you know that since California, Arizona, and other states passed anti-immigrant laws over 1.7 million illegal aliens left the US! (reference: ) OMG, what happens to an economy when 1.7 million people leave it? ( What happens to all that surplus of homes or apartments which they lived in? Don’t prices go down when supply goes up? What happens to the market when their is a surplus of used cars? And those cars are really cheap?

Illegal aliens don’t pay taxes? Don’t they pay sales taxes when they buy products? Doesn’t part of their rent payment go towards property taxes? When they consumer beer every weekend, doesn’t that create jobs for american citizens in the breweries? What about when they buy cars? Yes, didn’t you know that illegal aliens buy cars, and many other products, therefore, helping the economy.

Yes, we can agree that we don’t like illegal aliens in our country. But who’s pulling them to the U.S. Isn’t it the companies that want cheap labor? Shouldn’t they share an equal part of the blame?

Once aliens come here, they are weaved into the roots of the American tree, and when you pull 1.7 million of them out, there is bound to be some damage done to the tree. Yeah, the tree will probably be okay, but why do that unnecessary damage to it? Will the tree survive another pulling of its roots?

. Illegal Aliens are a negative drain on the economy here is great well documented article on this
New Study: Illegal Immigration Breaks the Bank “It found the average household led by a person without a high school diploma received $32,138 in government benefits and services in 2004, but paid only $9,689 in taxes. This imposes a burden on other taxpayers of $22,449 per dropout-headed household. ”

I am however a little curious. Your reasoning seems focused on just monetary considerations, that’s very mercenary of you isn’t it? For most of us our country is more than a greenback.
As far as the companies being held accountable as well, I am all for it.

So you believe that having illegal aliens come the US is 100% negative? There is no benefit whatsoever from having them here?

This is the exact quote straight from the website you cite, “It found the average household led by a person without a high school diploma received $32,138 in government benefits and services in 2004, but paid only $9,689 in taxes. This imposes a burden on other taxpayers of $22,449 per dropout-headed household.” There is also another quote at the beginning of the article that states, “Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lamar Smith (R-TX) and Immigration Reform Caucus (IRC) Chairman Brian Bilbray (R-CA) announced today the findings of a new Heritage Foundation study showing the costs associated with high school dropouts, ‘many of whom are illegal immigrants’.”

That last part sounds like an assumption, in regards to that article it seems the problem is high school dropouts not illegal aliens.

Are all illegal aliens that come here high school dropouts?

I’m not just focused on ‘monetary considerations,’ there many many aspects to the issue. It’s just that, the subject of the economy is so prevalent at this time.

My point is just that in regards to this issue there are hypocritical view points in America. The American companies tell the illegal alien, “Come over here amigo, I will give you great work, I will help you achieve the American Dream.” Once the illegal alien is here then the American government and some of its people tell the illegal alien, ” Hey you (insert expletive), we don’t want you here, get out, what? you’re working and making and spending money here, we don’t care get out.”

So shouldn’t we be focusing strictly on these companies, making anti-hiring-illegal-alien-laws, rather than just anti-immigrant laws?

First understand that I am an immigrant. Second yes like you I truly believe that those companies hiring illegals are in effect destroying our work force, driving down wages and offering what is tantamount to serfdom. All those involved in breaking the law should be punished. Third yes I do believe that no only is illegal immigration a detriment to our country it is also a great negative to the country of origin. I also want to find a way to jail the scum who is ruining those countries to the point where their number one export is humans willing to work for dirt wages.
I know you want more of an answer but I am working on an article on that issue and I don’t want to spill the beans but I think that you might like it at least parts of it.

OH by the way, you cannot get federal housing subsidies if you are an illegal immigrant, so check your facts cris
