I’m posting on this story just to dispel any doubt you might have that the liberals are pulling us neck deep into a real life nightmarish 1984 .

“Power companies are burning more trees because the renewable fuel can be cheaper than coal and ignited without needing permits to release carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas blamed for global warming.
Vattenfall AB of Sweden, Germany’s RWE AG and American Electric Power Inc. of Ohio, the biggest coal-burner in the U.S., have switched a few plants over to wood and more are planned. So far that hasn’t driven up paper prices or strained forests, which absorb carbon dioxide in photosynthesis.”
Wait folks it gets even better “European Union rules don’t require carbon-dioxide permits because the trees absorbed a like amount of the gas before harvest, making them carbon-neutral. ”

One question OK? Hey where the heck does the carbon go when the wood burns?
Answer. Same place it goes when coal burns.

I just can’t let this drop. This is such a typical example of bureaucratic idiocy leading us down the path of destruction. I really wish that there was a study done to show us the consequences and benefits of burning coal in clean burning plant vs. burning wood and cutting down our trees.
This is really such a vivid reminder that the idiotic left’s obsession with man made global warming will bring about untold misery.
